Panic! At The Disco – Miss Jackson/This Is Gospel Review

Miss Jackson – Panic! At The Disco
This is Gospel – Panic! At The Disco

When I first heard P!ATD’s first single Miss Jackson, I was not very impressed. It reminded me a little too much of Fall Out Boy’s My Songs Know What Your did in the Dark. But after a few more listens it has grown on me. Whenever a band does something different, the fans arn’t used to it. But this just shows the diversity in music from this band. This is a more of a dance song despite what Brendon Urie is actually singing in the lyrics.

There second single This is Gospel drew me in right away. I was putoff by the voice change technique they used but its showing what some Religious figures do when speaking to show the name of the song. Even though the title has nothing to do with what the song is actually saying. I love what they did for this song. You hear the amazing lyrics and the realness of actual instruments (which most artist don’t do anymore). The only thing I have to say bad about this song is that It may turn into an Over played Top 40 song and it will end up becoming every-bodies almost breaking up song (when a couple goes on a break when they are having issues in their relationship). And people will start posting the lyrics as their Facebook status’ like they did for Airplanes – B.o.B ft. Hayley Williams.

Miss Jackson – 3 out of 5 Stars
This Is Gospel – 4 out of 5 Stars.

This is album is going to be very anticipated.
